Welcome to the Cone Elementary Library Media Center!
Mission of the Cone Elementary Library Media Center
The Cone Elementary Media Center’s mission is to create a place where students discover the joy of reading, learn to think critically, and develop the skills they need to succeed in a changing world.
Media Specialist and Librarian
Mrs. Wyman is our media specialist/school librarian. The library is part of the specials rotation. Each class will visit the library weekly, get to explore Cone's awesome collection, and learn how reading unlocks lifelong learning. Topics that will be explored throughout the year include literacy, research and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, math). Students learn to find information, create, curate, and work together to analyze and think critically. Students in kindergarten and 1st grades keep library books in their classroom. Students in 2nd - 5th grades may take books home with them or keep them in their classroom.
